Since Dec 1st, 2011, Canadian Immigration and Citizenship had made it eligible for Parents and Grandparents to apply for multiple entry visa called as SUPER VISA which is valid for 10 year.It will allow family members to remain in Canada for up to 24 months at a time.The processing time for the Super Visa averages about 8 weeks .
In order to obtain a Parent or Grandparent Super Visa, you also need to provide:
· Evidence of the parent or grandparent relationship to the Canadian citizen or permanent resident you wish to visit (e.g., birth certificate, baptismal certificate or other official document naming you as parent);
· A http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/letter.asp from your child or grandchild that includes arrangements for care and support;
· Proof from your child or grandchild that he or she meets the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO); and
· Proof that you have private medical insurance called Supervisa Medical Insurance.
Supervisa Medical Coverage should be :
• For $ 100,000 for 365 days
• The policy should cover expenses for Health Care, Hospital and
Repatriation
• It should be flexible in terms of extending dates, refunds(100%) in case of
cancellations and early departures(partial).

IMPORTANT TIPS TO REMEMBER :
v Confirm coverage and how much amount is under each policy. Cheaper policies have lower benefit amounts
