Alternative RESP Plans…

• How will you fund your child’s RESP when the UCCB   STOPS   paying you on your child’s 6th birthday?
• What is the cost to catch up on missed payments or pauses payments?
• Do you really want to sign a   NEW   contract every Birthday, Christmas or whenever the Grandparents are over just to add new money?
• With most Bonds, GICs and Principal Protected notes returning their   LOWEST   values in recent history how will your RESP keep up with the rising cost of tuition?
• How much money will you get back if your child does not go to an approved institution?  Will it be the Principle / Growth / Your part of the Pool?
• If your child does not use up the entire RESP will you be able to get the remaining out without paying any taxes?
