I've worked at Jack Astor's a few months back playing background music from 5pm till close. Made announcements about food/drink specials and inside events.
In the past 20+ yrs, I've performed at most of Durham Region Night spots. I have done over 100 weddings, 200 banquets, played most of the High & Public Schools in the Ajax/Whitby/Oshawa/Bowmanville areas and lot's more events. (Grand Openings, Street Dances, Roller Rinks, Backyard Parties to name a few)
I supply all my own equip or utilize what you already have. I carry over 25,000 music hits ranging from the 50's to the present top 40. I can play any type of genre... from country, 50's & 60's, 70's disco, retro 80's & 90's, hip hop, reggae, classic rock and club dance hits.
Do you need to boost your slow nights during the week nights with some sort of entertainment? How about a "live" DJ/MC that takes requests from your guests, makes dedications for birthdays or other events? Have a food/drink special you need plugged?
Do you have an outdoor patio? What a great area to have a summer dance area... outside under the stars! If you have a separate area that you could have a space for dancing, then add some flavour to your restaurant with some night life!
My fees are very reasonable on a one off night or on a monthly plan. Oh... how about giving your patron's that WOW Factor? I am one of the only Durham Disc Jockeys to carry a wide selection of laser light systems. Everything from a full colour laser to your standard red/greens. I can make whatever space you designate for the dance area into a small night club. All sorts of lighting effects and a clean, clear sound system that won't be scaring away customers for being too LOUD.
Here's a thought, I recently went out a few weeks ago to a local restaurant and noticed that the room after 7:15pm was very slow. The food (pizza) was great! By the time I left around 9pm, there was only about 4 patrons left. Why? Are you only interested in catering to the hungry folks? How about making some extra friends that come out every week or every other week for some night time fun and possible dancing?
