He/she should know the market and provide information on past sales,current listings.and have a marketing plan that delivers results. This chosen agent should be very honest.assertive and have at least 4-solid references. An agent that understands  your needs is extremely important.

 

Choosing a friend realtor is a poor choice as real estate is a business and keep it as such. Selecting an agent with very low commission rates should raise red flags...remember you get what you pay for and experience in today's market does count!
