Hi, were away on vacation last summer when Zoey was lost in a schoolyard feild behind the sitters house June 23rd 2012.
She is a black-winged Jardine, named Zoey. She is a medium/large bird, about 10 inches long, has green & black feathers, & orange on her ankles, shoulders, under her wings & forehead.
She loves to play peekaboo and thats probly one of the best ways to get her attention. she also responds to "Zoey, step up" (put your finger out in front of her) or "Zoey, come'ere" (put your finger out if shes away and needs to fly to you).
Shes not a huge fan of new people, and she scares easily. quiet, slow movement is best. DO NOT touch her back or wings, she doesnt like it. Its probly best to have a towel or box handy, as shes probly scared to death :( .
She loves shelled-almonds and strawberries. Like other parrots, shes cannot have mushrooms, avacoados, and onions. Please dont feed her any people food, unless need be- the almonds or strawberries.
Her wings are clipped so she cant really fly, unless theres a breeze she be able to get some air, but she usually can just fly downwards.
She was last seen just outside C.D.F. Junior Public School on Saturday June 23 2012.
