These fare boxes were used from the 1920's until retired from TTC service in 1985. 
 
Back in the day, these boxes were used on all TTC Streetcars, Buses and Subway Crash-gates.
If you remember them, then you should recall that distinctive sound of the coins going through the fare box, unforgettable sound!

We are now offering these Vintage Fare Boxes for sale after 26 years in storage.

Fare Boxes are all authentic and all mechanical.
They stand approx. 22 inches high, approx. 5in. x 5in. base. and approx. 18lbs.
Excellent working condition.
Comes with original key to access lockbox, instructions for use and
a Certificate of Authenticity.
