ORIGINAL SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS RAISING INTRUDER IN THE DUST 1949, lobby card # 2, in excellent condition. It starred DAVID BRIAN, CLAUDE JARMAN JR.(THE YEARLING), & JUANO HERNANDEZ. Directed by ACADEMY AWARD NOMINATED CLARENCE BROWN this groundbreaking film told a story of racism in 1940's rural Mississippi when a black man is wrongly accused of murder. This is probably the best adaptation of a Nobel Prize winning WILLIAM FAULKNER novel. This was a MGM release. It should be noted that movie posters were not created for the general public but only for the movie houses so they were instant limited editions, and after their run they were usually destroyed which is why they are rare.
